programming up a test setup for an automotive component. Gotta send CAN messages and create a slow feedback loop. Not hard, but tedious because I want to add features like fault checking but they also want it asap, so I don’t have time to add much. Also, ever have someone ask you to do something, and they don’t know what it is they are asking you to do?

Just vacuumed the inside of the car and gave her an interior clean.
Re’sealed the wheels with a chemical resistant sealant and dressed the tyres.
Ironically a neighbour came and asked if I could do something with a few scratches he got on his front bumper. He told me some other driver came past him as he was parking and caught his car. I know exactly how he got that scratch and it was him that hit the other car as he was parking. I know this because I had to repair his damage he did to the other neighbours car yesterday. So I refused to do his and said ‘it’s awful when people are so inconsiderate of other peoples property’ and walked away.

Opening day at the school where I work. Lots of wild-eyed freshmen wondering what exactly the limits are of their newfound freedom. But also a refreshing life breathed back into the campus like the sudden jolt of an A.E.D. - CLEAR! And over the weekend the population of this town doubles.

I should be getting my new speakers in the mail today which is exciting. I will finally have a proper component system for my Miata. The lack of separate tweeters right now means that the music really gets lost in the wind while driving. But with the new Polk setup and my Alpine amp pushing 150W RMS per channel, I should be able to hear that pretty well.
Also today is the work bocce ball league championship. I am in the running for third place and plan to win by playing the super long game and making sure the white ball ends up behind trees, hidden in the tall grass, and across bumpy patches. I don’t think we are playing with a proper “court” at all, so it gives me an advantage over the people that actually know how to play.

I’m tossing around winter wheels/tires for the Abarth versus a winter beater, the idea of a kinda beefy tire on the abarth would probably tip me towards doing rally car stuff for no reason
